Your legal requirements for Fire Safety
Employers have a legal requirement to comply with the Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations. This includes, firstly, minimising the possibility of a fire occurring within the workplace by conducting a risk assessment, and secondly, instructing all employees what actions should be taken in the event of a fire occurring.

Sivatech can offer a structured and comprehensive range of Fire Safety Training Courses to help your organisation protect its business and meet the legal requirements.
All training courses are conducted by fully qualified Fire Officers from the Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service and can be delivered at the customers’ premises or at our fully equipped Aylesbury facility. We can also provide bespoke courses tailored to your needs.
Courses Include:
- Basic Fire Awareness
- This course is designed to provide a cost-effective method of training your staff with the minimum disruption to their work.
- Basic Fire Awareness for Schools
- To provide staff with the necessary basic understanding of fire and fire procedures to assist the school with its legal obligations.
- Fire Awareness
- A more indepth course, with training in the use of fire extinguishers on a live fire.
- Fire Warden
- A 1-day course for personnel with a designated responsibility as a fire warden or fire marshal.
- Fire Warden Refresher
- A half-day course for personnel with a designated responsibility as a fire warden or fire marshal.
- Fire Safety Managers
- A 1-day course for management personnel who have a responsibility for Health & Safety and for implementing a fire safety policy.
- Fire Safety Instructors
- A 2-day intensive course for organisations that wish to train their own safety officers to be able to supply fire awareness courses. Certified for three years.
- Hotel Fire Safety
- Designed to provide staff with an understanding of how to reduce the risk of fire in the workplace and how to respond in the event of a fire.
Most courses include practical use of fire extinguishers. All students receive a certificate of attendance.
