Course overview:
This course is for management personnel who have a responsibility for Health and Safety and for implementing fire safety policy. It provides the knowledge to enable them to carry out their designated duties in relation to fire certificate standards and fire safety risk
assessment under the Fire Precautions (Workplace) Act 1997 (and 1999 amendment)
Who should attend:
Managers or supervisors who have a responsibility to maintain fire safety standards; personnel having recently assumed responsibility for fire safety; and senior fire and security officers requiring greater understanding of fire safety legislation and procedures.
Objectives:
At the end of the course students will:
- Understand the dangers of fire
- Understand current fire safety legislation
- Understand fire hazards in buildings
- Be able to carry out a Fire Safety risk assessment
